Lately, I have been noticing that a bevy of U.S. designers are painting the ceilings of their client's rooms in pale aquas and light sky blues. Such a lovely detail, especially when you stick with a neutral wall colour/treatment...so restful...and unexpected.
Here is Miles Redd in the entryway of his client's Brooklyn home with neutral grasscloth and a pale blue ceiling:
Sara Gilbane's stunning lacquered ceiling garden room design from the Feb 2014 issue of House Beautiful:
Tobi Farley and her sitting room at the Richmond Showhouse:
Not sure where this image is from, but I love this blue-grey color on the ceiling:
Again, this image was not tagged, but love the aqua ceiling in the entry way with chic black accents:
Love the keylime walls combined with the blue ceiling - lots of color!
Ruthie Sommers' home with a sky blue ceiling, teal velvet throw pillows and pink drapes:
Now, to choose the color for my ceiling ...Martha Stewart 'Salt Glaze', Farrow and Ball 'Cabbage White', or Benjamin Moore 'Ocean Air'....in semi-gloss of course!
